Production method.

Refined by reaction of molten metallic tin with chloromethane in the presence of a catalyst such as tetramethylammonium chloride.

Toxicity: moderately toxic.

Emergency treatment for leaks

Isolate the contaminated area of the spill, set up warning signs around it and restrict access. Emergency responders wear gas masks (full face shields) and gas-proof clothing. Carefully collect and transfer to a safe place in a plastic bag, sealed. Collected residues are soaked in dilute alkaline water and the resulting solids are recycled and collected and sent to the production plant for disposal.

Used in the production of PVC heat stabilizers, TCO photovoltaic glass, LOW-E glass coating materials, pharmaceuticals, catalysts for esterification reactions

Mainly used in Low-E glass coating material, glass bottle hot end spray coating, catalyst for esterification reaction, etc.

Storage and transportation.

Transport: loading and unloading should be lightly loaded and unloaded, packaging should be forbidden to break during transport, any breakage should be sealed tightly immediately, trace leakage should be diluted with large amount of alkaline water.

PACKAGING.

Packaging: It is advisable to use glass containers, plastic containers, metal vessels resistant to chlorine corrosion, sealed for storage.
